- Caregivers with chronic stress may experience deterioration in short-term memory, attention, and verbal IQ.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Along with increasing stress, caregivers are more likely to use alcohol and other harmful substances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Family caregivers are more prone to high levels of hostility than others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- High rates of depressive symptoms and mental health problems among caregivers put many caregivers at risk of deteriorating physical health.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
