She has worked in a variety of Health and Social Services settings \u2013 including projects\/initiatives with a commitment to continuous improvements in psychological health care for clients and positive outcomes for their carers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She has chaired several health and social services groups\/committees providing advice to Health Authority Commissioners. She has also directed and led substantial organisational change at local and national levels within the London Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and also in the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Division of Clinical Psychology (DCP) &#8211; influencing service delivery issues and impacting on the profession of Clinical Psychology and psychologist\u2019s training and development of competencies to work effectively in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic British context.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For her teaching, training and publications she has been awarded 3 Honorary Doctorates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Professor (Dr.) Zenobia Nadirshaw MBE has won the following awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>British Psychological Society (Award winner for Challenging Inequality of Opportunities 1996\/1997)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>British Medical Association 2001 Book of the Year Award \u201cClinical Psychology, \u2018Race\u2019 and Culture: A Training Manual\u201c<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The TIAW World of Difference Award (2012), Washington DC<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Honorary Life Member Award of The British Psychological Society 2016<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Inspiring Migrant Woman of the Year Award 2016<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cKey to the City of London\u201c Honour bestowed by the Guildhall, City of London 2017<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) on 12 June 2019 at Buckingham Palace<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:24px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the Initiative<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mission of the Mental Health Awareness Initiative is to promote mental health awareness, mental health well-being, and mental health care accessibility by providing advanced knowledge, communicating mental health\u2019s critical role, fostering supportive environments, and eliminating stigma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Read <a href=\"https:\/\/mha.am\/en\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Our Story<\/a>.
