Why is this project important?

  • In the past 10 years, 9 percent of those involved in war or other conflicts have experienced a mental health condition.
  • 22 percent of those living in a conflict zone are dealing with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia.
  • The experience of conflict, disaster, violence or loss, and feelings of isolation are risk factors for suicide and are associated with suicidal behavior.

The services offered within the project

Within the framework of the project, forcibly displaced persons are provided with psychological services, including psychological counseling.

The services are provided within the framework of psychosocial support, individually or in a group, and delivered in person or online.
