Dr Yvanna Coopoosamy is a lecturer and a clinical psychologist with 14 years of dedication and service to clients.
Following her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of East London (UEL) she worked in NHS, third sector and private services within community, low-secure and outreach settings.
Additionally, she maintained tenacity in advocating for vulnerable and marginalised groups, often despite the odds.
Yvanna’s experience in applying health psychology within medical services enabled her to explore connections between the mind and the body and the interdependence of hormones, the nervous system, stress, grief or trauma, environmental factors and physical illness.
Finally, Yvanna has been executing many projects to support the community for years, including the “Talking with young people about autism” & “5 Strategies for Feeling Better” webinars in collaboration with Diabetes UK Charity. National Group” and many more.
