Healing the Wounds of History

We are happy to announce a new round of collaboration between the Mental Health Awareness Initiative and the Center for The Living Arts.

On December 7th, join us for a free 6-hour online Experiential Workshop exploring the Historical Legacy of the Armenian Genocide and processing the wounding connected with the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh/Artsakh war and the forced displacement of Armenians from Artsakh.

We are inviting you to participate in this transformative workshop. During the workshop, we will explore the Armenian historical/ancestral legacies of trauma and resilience, understanding how they manifest in their daily lives.

  • How can we heal personal and collective wounds?
  • How can we convert historical trauma into constructive action?

We will utilize Drama Therapy, Expressive Arts, Psychodrama, and Sociodramatic Play Processes to explore these questions.

Healing the Wounds of History is produced by the Center for The Living Arts, a California-based non-profit. The workshop will be facilitated by the founder and the director, Armand Volkas, and will be assisted by Healing the Wounds of History program trainees.

Visit the website for more information about the approach.

Only 4 selected applicants will receive an invitation to join the workshop for free. Please follow this link to register.

The registration deadline is November 17, Sunday.

The online workshop will take place on December 7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Pacific Time.
